Hey Friends,

In today's manifesto, we explore what it truly means to build a business that aligns with your nervous system and honors your feminine energy. I’ve been reflecting deeply on the differences between my current business—my blog, The Pleasure and Peace Portal, my workbooks, and the activations I’ve been creating—and the businesses I’ve attempted to build in the past. The realization hit me: my nervous system feels regulated now. I feel calm, peaceful, and deeply aligned with what I’m creating. The overwhelm, stress, and burnout that once plagued me are no longer part of my story.

Does this sound like a place you want to be? Let me tell you how I got here and how you can too.

Rebuilding From the Ground Up: A Journey to Nervous System Alignment

If you’ve ever found yourself stressed, anxious, or constantly running on adrenaline in your business, you’re not alone. It’s easy to fall into the trap of hustling non-stop, thinking that success only comes through constant action and sheer willpower. But what I’ve come to understand is that this approach wreaks havoc on your nervous system.

When I was building my previous businesses, I was always in a state of anxiety, pushing myself beyond my limits, ignoring the signs my body was giving me. I never took the time to ask myself if I was doing work that aligned with my desires, my truth, or my natural energy flow. Instead, I forced myself into a mold of productivity and results-driven thinking, which only left me burnt out.

Now, in this new phase of life and business, everything is different. Why? Because I’ve made it a point to tune into my body, to slow down, to journal, to reflect, and most importantly, to build from a foundation that honors my desires and supports my nervous system.

The Difference Between Yeses and Nos

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or out of alignment in your life or business, it might be because you’re not clear on your yeses and nos. This was a huge revelation for me. When I wasn’t sure about what felt right for me and what didn’t, I often found myself saying yes to things that drained my energy.

Understanding the difference between a true yes and a no is key to keeping your nervous system regulated. Your yeses should feel expansive, light, and aligned with your desires. Your nos, on the other hand, are anything that causes stress, anxiety, or a feeling of being out of control. If you're saying yes to something that feels heavy or burdensome, it’s likely not in alignment with your feminine energy or your nervous system.

This clarity was something I had to cultivate slowly. I didn’t wake up one day and just know. It took a lot of journaling and self-inquiry. I asked myself questions like:

  • How do I want to feel in the mornings?

  • What activities light me up and make me feel alive?

  • What am I tolerating in my life or business that no longer serves me?

  • What would my days look like if they were aligned with my deepest desires?

Through these questions, I discovered that my nervous system thrived when I honored my desires and allowed space for rest and reflection.

The Importance of Slowing Down and Listening

One of the biggest shifts I made was learning to slow down. I had to let go of the belief that doing more equaled more success. Instead, I asked myself, “How can I create a life and business that feels good to me, rather than one that I feel obligated to maintain?”

Slowing down allowed me to reconnect with my body and intuition. I started to notice when something didn’t feel good or when I was pushing myself too hard. I allowed myself to take breaks, rest, and rejuvenate. And in doing so, I realized that I was far more productive and creative than I had ever been while hustling non-stop.

Rebuilding Your Nervous System: It Starts with Your Desires

Building a feminine foundation in your life and business means centering your desires. It’s about creating from a place of joy and ease, not from force or obligation.

When your business is in alignment with your desires, your nervous system naturally regulates itself. There’s no need for constant stress or overwhelm because you’re doing work that lights you up and feels good to you.

For me, this looked like creating my blog, The Pleasure and Peace Manifestos, developing workbooks, and designing the Pleasure and Peace Portal membership. Each piece of this business feels like an extension of my soul, not a task on a to-do list. And because of that, my nervous system feels supported and calm.

So, if you’re feeling out of alignment, it’s time to ask yourself: What are my true desires? What do I want to create? How do I want to feel in my business and my life? And, most importantly, how can I align my work with those desires?

Aligning with Your Feminine Energy

One thing that has been crucial to my journey is reconnecting with my feminine energy. As women, we are often taught that success looks like hard work, constant action, and pushing ourselves to the limit. But when we tap into our feminine energy, we realize that true success comes from flow, intuition, and ease.

Your feminine energy is directly tied to your nervous system. When you honor your feminine essence by allowing yourself to rest, reflect, and create from a place of pleasure, your nervous system relaxes. You become more present, more in tune with your body, and more aligned with your purpose.

How to Tell If You’re Out of Alignment

Are you feeling burnt out, exhausted, or emotional in ways that don’t feel good to you? These are signs that your nervous system is out of alignment. You might be pushing yourself too hard, saying yes to things that aren’t aligned with your desires, or working in a way that feels forced.

Take a moment to pause and check in with yourself. Ask: “Is this work serving me? Does it feel good to my body and soul?” If the answer is no, it’s time to re-evaluate and realign. Your nervous system will thank you.

Moving Forward from a Place of Desire

Once you’ve done the work to understand your yeses and nos, and you’ve slowed down enough to listen to your body, the next step is to move forward from a place of desire. Build your business in a way that feels good to you, that lights you up, and that supports your nervous system.

Remember, your nervous system is the foundation of everything you do. When it’s in a state of calm and alignment, you’ll be able to create, grow, and thrive in your business without the constant stress or overwhelm.

So, if you’re feeling stuck or out of balance, take the time to reconnect with your desires and realign with your feminine energy. You’ll be amazed at the peace and pleasure that will flow into your life and business.

Live pleasurably.
