Shift Your Energy, Shift Your Life: How to Become an Energetic Match to Your Desires

Today's manifesto is your guide to reclaiming the power of your emotions and beliefs to manifest the life you desire. There's a common myth that in order to achieve what we want, we need to know exactly how it's going to happen. The truth? We don't need to know the "how" with precision. What we really need is to commit fully to creating the feeling that comes with our desired outcome.

Think about it: the feelings we associate with our desires—joy, peace, freedom, abundance—are what truly matters. And those feelings? They come from the thoughts we hold and the beliefs we operate from every single day. So if we want to change our results, we need to shift the energy behind those thoughts and beliefs. Emotions, Energy, and Beliefs

Let’s break this down. Beliefs fuel emotions, and emotions drive actions. When you’re feeling stuck or like your desired outcomes are just out of reach, it’s crucial to ask yourself: What am I believing about myself right now?

If you're coming from a space of "I can't," "I'm not enough," or "I don't know how," then that's the energy you're pouring into everything you do. You're making decisions and taking actions from a place of lack, which isn’t aligned with what you actually want.

When I talk about energy here, I'm talking about the feeling and vibration behind your thoughts. The thoughts you have about your abilities, your worth, and your future are what shape your emotions. And it’s from those emotions that you take every single action—whether conscious or unconscious.

So, if you're feeling anxious or insufficient, ask yourself: What belief am I holding that’s creating this feeling? Once you recognize it, the power is in your hands to change it.

Real-Life Example: My Job and Reclaiming My Power

A few days ago, I had this experience at my job where I found myself deep in thought about my current situation. Thoughts about how I was unhappy and frustrated with work kept popping into my mind, over and over. It was like a loop that wouldn't end.

I knew I had to do something about it because these thoughts weren’t serving me anymore. I'd already done the emotional work of examining why I felt this way. I’d already processed my frustration, sat with it, and understood the lessons that were presenting themselves. So when these thoughts continued to arise, I realized they were no longer helpful—they were just habits at that point. I had to make a conscious choice: Am I going to keep feeding this frustration, or am I going to choose a belief that feels better and gets me closer to what I really want?

It was time to shift.

I started asking myself, What do I actually want? The answer came back: I want to create a thriving blogging business. I want to help women through the manifestos, activations, and invitations I craft to support them on their journeys. I want to bring more peace and pleasure into their lives, just like I’ve done with mine.

Choosing New Beliefs

Here’s the beautiful part: we get to choose what we believe.

I chose to shift my focus from frustration with my job to the joy I feel when I think about writing my manifestos. When I shifted my belief to “I am capable of creating a successful blog that helps others,” my energy shifted immediately. I felt lighter, more in tune with my desires, and from that space, I could take inspired action.

This isn’t about bypassing your emotions. Trust me, I spent an entire week feeling and processing my frustrations before I made the shift. But once you’ve done the work, once you've allowed yourself to feel your feelings fully, there comes a point where you must decide: Do I want to keep replaying this old story? Or am I ready to write a new one?

Becoming an Energetic Match to Your Desires

To manifest what you desire, you have to align your energy with the outcome you want. You can't stay stuck in emotions of frustration, lack, or doubt and expect to create abundance, joy, or peace.

Instead, you need to create the emotions that are a match to your desired reality. If your goal is to experience more peace, pleasure, and success in your life, you need to start feeling those emotions now. When you do, your actions, decisions, routines, and habits will naturally flow from that place of alignment.

Think of it this way: if your current thoughts are creating emotions that aren’t serving you, you need to start choosing different thoughts. You can do this by shifting your focus to what you really want, what truly brings you joy, and what your desired outcome looks like.

For me, thinking about the manifestos I create—these powerful blog posts that help women move through the challenges of life—brings me immense joy. So I keep coming back to that feeling. And from that place of joy, I can take aligned action toward my goals. The same is true for you.

Actionable Steps to Align with Your Desires

  1. Awareness of Thoughts: Start by observing your thoughts throughout the day. Notice when they’re not aligned with what you want. Are they rooted in lack or insufficiency? Once you notice them, gently shift your focus.

  2. Choose New Beliefs: When you catch yourself in unhelpful thought patterns, ask yourself, Is this thought helping me? If not, choose a new one. Something as simple as, I am capable of creating what I desire can change everything.

  3. Create the Feeling Now: Instead of waiting for your desired outcome to bring you peace, joy, or success, focus on creating those feelings now. Ask yourself, What makes me feel joyful, successful, or peaceful? Then go do those things, or simply immerse yourself in that feeling.

  4. Take Aligned Action: From this new energy, take inspired action. Whether it’s a small step or a big leap, trust that when your energy is aligned, the actions you take will move you closer to your desires.
