Dreaming Big: How Visualizing a Life with Abundant Wealth Can Reignite Your Passion
Hey Friends!
Have you ever wondered what you would do if money was no object? Imagine having $100,000 coming in every month on autopilot. What would your life look like? This thought-provoking question might just be the key to getting out of that funk and reconnecting with your true desires.
The Power of Visualization
A lot of people in my circle have been feeling out of sorts, a little bit depressed, and I'm wondering if it's just a time-of-the-year type of thing or what's happening. So what I decided to do to help with my own feelings of being out of sorts was to ask myself a question that would help me get into a visualizing type of space and just allow myself to dream a little bit. When I do this, it helps me get out of my logical headspace and reconnect with my spiritual side and what's possible.
The Magic Question
The question that you can use, or the question that I use, is: If I had $100K coming in every month on autopilot, what would I be doing? From that space, I was able to write out all the things that felt really good to me to do. It is such a beautiful question because I think that a lot of times we are so worried about money. Obviously, we need money to live, buy things, and have a roof over our heads, food in our bellies, and all the essentials. But when we are in such need, it takes away from our ability to actually look at what could be possible for us if we were to move from a space of flow and ease and uncomplicated pathways.
My Dream Life
When I asked myself that question, what came up for me was a vivid picture of my ideal life. I would be going to different types of hotels—five-star hotels, boutique hotels, inns, bed and breakfast types of spaces in cities and rural countrysides. I would want to sit by water or watch animals; I love to watch the animals. I would want to explore different swimming spaces, pools, bodies of water, and caverns. I would love to go to spas and have a massage every night before I go to bed. I would like to listen to podcasts and possibly write a blog or record a podcast, or even write an e-book.
The Practical Side
Initially, these dreams seemed far-fetched because they felt incompatible with my current life, especially my 9 to 5 job. But then I realized that I could start small. I live in Florida, and I still have lots of exploring to do right here. I could visit different spaces close to home, which actually sounds like a great idea. I also thought about trying lots of vegetarian dishes and meeting up with friends in luxurious cafes. I would love to travel lightly, packing very little.
Creating the Perfect Environment
To get into this dream space, I set up a cozy environment. I sat with my candle and lemon water, listening to the Sherry Formula on YouTube, which has great lo-fi music for writing or background ambiance. I plopped myself down in my bed, which sits right in front of a window where I can easily look out and see water and ducks. This is one of the most amazing spaces for me to be in and allow myself to dream and write.
Why This Matters
How does this relate to getting out of your funk? I truly believe that when we are out of sorts, it's because we are not living in alignment with who we want to be at this point in our lives. For many of us, especially women, we hold on to what we've been doing as a guide for what we should continue to do. But sometimes, we need a life reset to reconnect with what's possible for ourselves. This helps create a sense of well-being and excitement in our lives.
Your Turn to Dream
So, I invite you to ask yourself the same question: If you had $100K coming in on autopilot every month, what would you be doing? Allow yourself to dream. This exercise can help you pinpoint your true desires and create a vision for a life that excites you.
