Shift Your Manifesting Power: Focus on What You Want, Not What You Don't

Today’s manifesto is your guide to reclaiming your manifesting power by learning how to shift your energy from what you don’t want to what you truly desire. This lesson comes in waves, showing up quietly until it becomes impossible to ignore. Recently, I had one of those moments of realization, and I know many of you will resonate with it—manifesting from a place of lack instead of abundance and joy.

Let me share what happened to me that led to this profound insight.

The Morning Epiphany: Focusing on What I Don't Want

It was Friday morning, and my alarm clock went off. I immediately felt frustration rising within me. Without thinking, I turned it off and muttered to myself, "I am sick of this shit." At that moment, I realized just how tired I was of living on someone else’s schedule, doing work that didn’t light me up. I wanted to create powerful manifestos, work for myself, and feel good about how I earned my living.

But here’s where it hit me: I was spending so much time thinking about what I didn’t want. My focus was on frustration, dissatisfaction, and everything that felt wrong. While I thought I was manifesting the life I desired, I was actually manifesting more of what I didn’t want because that’s where my energy was.

Are You Manifesting What You Don't Want?

I bet many of you can relate. We think we’re manifesting what we want, but in reality, we’re putting most of our attention on what we’re trying to escape. And the universe? It responds to the energy you give off, bringing more of what you don’t want.

When you focus on what isn’t working, that thought becomes your dominant vibration. It’s heavier, it shows up more often, and it takes control. That’s the energy you’re moving from, and that’s exactly what you’ll get more of.



Breaking the Cycle: A Simple Shift in Energy

Having this awareness was both enlightening and a bit daunting. It gave me the clarity to shift, but it also meant I had to start taking intentional steps to move from a space of desire rather than lack. Awareness is powerful, but without action, it doesn’t create change.

The shift doesn’t have to be monumental. It can start with something as small as being mindful of what’s happening in your mind throughout the day.

What Can You Do to Shift Your Energy?

If you find yourself in this loop of manifesting from a place of frustration or lack, here are some tools that helped me and can help you shift into manifesting from a place of abundance and joy:

1. Practice Awareness
This is the foundation. Start by being aware of your thoughts and where your mind tends to drift. Don’t judge yourself—just observe. You might notice how much energy you’re giving to thoughts like, “I don’t want this,” or “I’m tired of that.”

2. Visualization
When you catch yourself in that loop, stop and put your hand on your heart. Take a few moments to visualize the life you truly want. See the details, feel the emotions, and immerse yourself in the joy of what’s possible. The more vivid the visualization, the more powerful the shift.

3. Journaling or Audio Notes
Some of us need to get our thoughts out of our heads to clear the energy. I like to journal, but others might prefer recording voice notes. Release your thoughts through whatever medium works for you. It’s a great way to process and shift your focus from lack to abundance.

4. Gratitude with Intention
Gratitude isn’t just about saying, “I’m grateful for XYZ.” It’s about feeling the joy that gratitude brings. When you truly feel thankful for what you have, even in small moments, it shifts your energy. I’ve found that practicing gratitude with intention makes it easier to align with what I truly want.



Manifesting from a Place of Pleasure

Once you start shifting your energy, you’ll notice a difference not just in what you manifest, but also in how you feel. Manifesting from a place of pleasure is key. It’s about taking action in ways that bring you joy right now, not just for some future goal.

When you focus on the present moment and engage with what lights you up, the universe mirrors that back to you. It becomes less about hustling for the future and more about finding joy in the now.
