Hey Friends,
Today’s manifesto is short but mighty and is your guide to addressing three major struggles that many aspiring women entrepreneurs face: impatience with the process, the never-ending time crunch, and the all-too-familiar energy drain. These are universal struggles, especially for moms juggling little ones, limited time, and the dream of building something extraordinary. Let’s explore how to move from overwhelmed and aspiring to aligned and thriving—because you deserve that.
1. The “Aspiring” Entrepreneur Part...I Just Want to Be There Already!
Ooomphhhh, this is how so many of us feel. The impatience of wanting to skip the "building phase" is so relatable. You’re doing the work, but it feels like success is taking forever. Here’s the truth: the journey is where the magic happens. However, we can absolutely make the process feel more aligned and less like a waiting game.
How to embrace the process:
Set aligned milestones: Break your big vision into smaller, achievable goals that feel meaningful and aligned with your values. This could be as simple as writing your first blog post, reaching out to 3 potential clients, or planning your next content week.
Practice feminine goal-setting: Inside The Soft CEO Way, we focus on working with your natural rhythms and feminine flow instead of forcing rigid timelines. This allows you to build your business in a way that feels natural and inspired, not rushed.
Celebrate every win: Treat every milestone like it’s the “big one.” Success isn’t just about getting there—it’s about the progress you're making along the way.
2. Time! Between All the Things and Little Ones, I Can Only Find a Couple of Hours a Day
Oh, the time crunch. You’re working during nap time, school pick-ups, or while dinner’s cooking. Here’s the good news: You don’t need hours on end to move the needle in your business.
Make the most of the time you have:
Batch content creation: Instead of trying to write a new blog post, create social media content, and plan emails every day, batch similar tasks together. For example, spend one 90-minute session writing 3 blog outlines.
Use your time wisely with AI: In The Soft CEO Way, we show you how to leverage tools like ChatGPT to brainstorm content ideas, draft blogs, and even structure offers in a fraction of the time.
Prioritize your energy over time: Use your high-energy hours (even if they’re only 20 minutes long) for deep work like writing, creating, or planning. Save low-energy tasks, like responding to emails, for when you’re feeling less focused.
Time-saving tip: You don’t need to be doing everything you think you do. Think about the lifestyle you want to have and prioritize doing the things that align with who you are and the lifestyle you want to create. For example, I don’t prioritize posting on social media because peopling in that way isn’t what I want. Instead, my energy is focused on blogging and using Pinterest, of which for both, I’ve created a system that works for me within my current life AND the lifestyle I want to have. This is exactly how The Soft CEO Way was created-from my desire to have an Unpeopled business that’s effective and efficient, full of peace and pleasure, and allows me to live the life I became an entrepreneur to be able to do.
3. Finding the Energy to Actually Get Stuff Done
When you’re a single mom, sole caregiver, or just a woman doing all the things, your energy can feel depleted before you even sit down to work. Building a business in this state can feel impossible, but small, intentional changes can create huge shifts.
Reclaim your energy:
Integrate micro self-care moments: You don’t need an hour-long spa session. Try a 3-minute meditation, a deep breath before transitioning tasks, or a cup of tea before diving into work. These small moments of rest help you reconnect with your feminine energy.
Work in cycles: The idea of working "in flow" isn’t a buzzword—it’s biology. Listen to your body and build your schedule around natural energy peaks and valleys. For example, if you feel most focused in the morning, dedicate that time to creative work, and leave the admin for later.
Lean into community: Inside The Soft CEO Way, our co-working sessions aren’t just for productivity—they’re a space to recharge. Sometimes, being surrounded by others with similar goals is enough to reignite your spark.
